Old fashioned hospitality, friendly faces and good pub food since the 1700's! The Horse & Jockey, a traditional pub nestled in its central position on Lanark High Street, has been one constant in the changing face of Lanark over the last centuries.
While countries, empires and world events have come and gone, the Horse & Jockey, of all the pubs in Lanark, has remained a place where locals and visitors alike have relaxed in the convivial atmosphere and shared their views; and you can still do that to this day – or simply unwind, glass in hand, and watch the world go by.
Known for its friendly atmosphere, the Horse & Jockey has become the favoured "local" haunt for many who enjoy a good night out in Lanark. Often you'll be in for a treat, as it's a favourite with local musicians who will entertain you with an impromptu concert.
...and if you're musically-minded, you're more than welcome to join in.

Good atmosphere, nice bar staff and well kept beer! No real ale though, you need Clydesdale Inn up the road for that!
